Covid 19 forever changed everyone's lives, which caused psychological and financial challenges across the board. After moving into the same home together in the beginning of March 2020, being locked down by the middle of March, and then having both of our income streams dry up, we needed something quick! All we had to rely on were each other, and after making the bold decision to live together, and now facing a world rocked by Covid together, we were determined to make something big happen. That's when we came across an opportunity to repaint a large home that was recently purchased, and this little business was born!
Andrew has been a licensed Real Estate agent since 2015, and long before meeting Rachel he had worked for several property management companies to get rentals ready for new tenancy. That previous experience painting really came in handy, as he met with the homeowner, produced a bid, and won out over 3 other local painting contractors.
After hearing the good news, Rachel was "All In" and immediately started helping support in every way possible. From cleaning, to taping, painting and even starting an Instagram account to share our content with the world. Rachel's influence and her referral network around Asheville really got the word out.
That first job lead right to another, and then 2 more after it, until Andrew's Real Estate business picked up again towards the end of the Summer 2020. It was at that time we made our first hire, turned our idea into the Secretary of State who gave us back our corporation status, and we've been steadily gaining momentum ever since.
We found that the need for a reliable, hard working, friendly painting contractor was high and with both of our sales background we've been able to employ an awesome team of humans, pay them a living wage, and give a steady job to hard working folks in the midst of a pandemic. We could not be more proud of what our small family business has been able to accomplish so far, and look forward to serving the Asheville area for many years to come!
